I'm a children's book illustrator who fell in love with the creativity and tradition of Japan's ancient capital, Kyoto.
I stopped in my tracks when I saw the ingenious patterns and illustrations on these beautiful textiles. I love the vibrant colour palette and the interesting fabrics.
Contemporary furoshiki knot-wraps evolved from the textiles that carefully wrapped the treasures of the Imperial family, just outside Kyoto. Now you can create these wonderful styles, and be a part of an on-trend movement that is choosing sustainability and reusability over disposable paper and plastics.
Furoshiki are clever and creative, and as versatile as your imagination.
